L’Oréal Professionnel unveils Transformation Day: The First-ever Global Event celebrating Hair Transformation
For the first time, L’Oréal Professionnel gathered top hairdressers from around the world for a global event dedicated to hair transformation. At a venue that evolved with its guests, leading talents created the season’s most striking transformations on international influencers, culminating in a spectacular live reveal shared with audiences worldwide.
Since 1909, at the origin of the L’Oréal Group, L’Oréal Professionnel has been the pioneer of the professional hair industry, constantly bridging the gap between scientific innovation and creative excellence. The professional heritage brand reaffirmed its role in driving hair expertise by announcing its most ambitious event to date: Transformation Day.
At the iconic Palais de Tokyo in the prestigious 16th district of Paris, L’Oréal Professionnel gathered over 100 global celebrities, influencers, and hair experts from all around the world including France, the US, Brazil, China and India, on April 25th & 26th, for an immersive experience where innovation and creativity evolved in real-time.

Over the course of the two-day journey, the international guests underwent a complete professional hair transformation, in three key stages of color, hair care, and styling. To achieve this, the L'Oréal Professionnel experts used L’Oréal Professionnel innovations like the Metal Detox Mask, Absolut Repair Molecular mask and oil, and the new Keratin Alpha Sleek technology.


A Tribute to Transformation
This landmark event was a tribute from L’Oréal Professionnel to transformation: whether it is the emotional transformation following a new hair color or hairstyle, or much more broadly, the transformation of the industry itself.
Transformation Day also served as a powerful celebration of Hairstylist Appreciation Day, happening at the same time as this global moment dedicated to recognizing the passion, skill, and dedication of hair professionals worldwide.
To bring these transformations to life, L’Oréal Professionnel relied on the talent of its Global Creative Contributors. Recently announced as the brand’s long-term creative partners, this crew gathering the trendiest hairdressers worldwide such as Amit Thakur, Kevin Jacotot or Jacob Habib Khan, goes beyond the role of ambassadors to actively shape the future of professional hair. They performed complete hair coloring and styling transformations on international celebrities and influencers, revealing the season's hottest hair signatures on a global stage, further establishing the brand as a leading trend authority.

Three Visonary Capsules
The Palais de Tokyo was partitioned into three visionary "Capsules," each representing a different facet of the transformative journey:
The Transformation Capsule: The heartbeat of the event. A high-tech sanctuary where the hairdressers execute their craft, blending professional gestures with the brand's latest scientific innovations to reveal the "new self" of each guest.
The Outdoor Capsule: A dedicated architectural space designed for the ultimate reveal. This is where the final professional hair transformations are captured by the world's leading lenses, creating the key visual assets that will set the digital hair trends for the season.
The Transformation Party at Le Yoyo: As night falls, the experience moved to Le Yoyo for a night celebrating the very essence of transformation. In a space where technology and the soul of hair converge, this evening will push the boundaries of creativity with the reveal of a brand-new, never-before-seen hair show, a spectacular fusion of technology and artistry.
At the Transformation Party, L’Oréal Professionnel unveiled The Sound of Hair, a one-of-a-kind performance redefining the traditional hair show at the crossroads of craft, technology and emotion. The performance featured Kevin Jacotot, hairdresser and Global Creative Contributor of L’Oréal Professionnel, and a model that embodied the essence of the profession, while technology enhances and revealed the beauty of transformation. Inspired by the theme “Kinetic Hair”, echoing the Greek word kinesis and aiming to define beauty in motion, The Sound of Hair explored the energy and fluidity of hair that never stays still.
The journey continued on Monday, April 27th, with a global Tech Talk Masterclass, where Ben Gregory, Jawara Wauchope, Min Kim and Nancy Stripe - L’Oréal Professionnel’s Global Creative Contributors - recreated key looks revealed during Transformation Day and shared their techniques live with real-time translation and streamed on L’Oréal Professionnel’s platforms. This interactive session allowed hairdressers worldwide to learn, engage, and directly translate the trends into their own salon reality.
